It's summer skin time
The freckles on my nose from a day outside
The sickly refreshing smell of sunscreen
New sunglasses, big hats
Farmer's tan lines
(That's one way to remember how cute you looked in that top)
Sweaty hair
Sticky legs
It's too hot to touch each other but I'll do it anyway
Dingy basements because they're cool
Mid-set sneak-aways to make-out glory
(We'll be back in a minute)
Fruity drinks, craft beers, bottled water
Food truck snacks, bar food dinners
(This isn't on my diet)
Spending too much money on indulgence
Breaking rules because it's a special occasion
Aching eardrums, tired feet
New friendships and stronger old ones
Lack of rest
One more drink, then bedtime
Falling asleep with a smile on my face
I'm ready for the freckles on my nose.
